Bueno solucionado, voy a poner lo que he hehco por si alguien mas brikea la tele:

Cosas necesarias:
*Ordenador con puerto serie. El mio no tiene puerto serie y utilice un coversor USB-Serie
*Cable null modem. Es como un alargador de puerto serie, pero internamente tiene dos cables cruzados
*Programa para conectarse a terminales con protocolo ZModem, yo use el HyperTermilan de windows XP
*Firm de la tele. Yo la revivi con el 3.15, para aproberchar y activar el THX
*Un poco de cuidado
*muuuucha paciencia

Los pasos son los siguientes:
1ºApagar la tele, yo la deje enchufada, pero con el interrruptor apagado, para q se apague el led
2ºConectar el puerto "service" (rs232) con el ordenador mediante el null modem
3ºArrancar el Hyper Terminal, con los siguientes parametros: velocidad 115200, 8 bits datos, no paridad, 1 bit stop.El ultimo campo como viene por defecto
4. Encender la tele (con el interruptor) y presionar la tecla esc del teclado del ordenador varias veces, hasta que aparezca "Mstar #" en la consola del hyper terminal
5. Una vez mostrado "Mstar #" ya estamos conectados a la tele. Pdemos ejecutar el comando "help" que nos muestra la lista de comandos posibles
6º El comando "swuz" habilita la subida del firm. Por tanto ejecutamos dicho comando. La tele nos respondera con unos numeros en la consola indicadno q esta a la espera del fichero.
7ºDesde el hyperterminal, en las opciones se puede adjuntar un fichero. Lo hacemos seleccionando el firm correspondiente que queremos instalar
8. No toques nada. Como se puede ver en el hyperterminal, el proceso tarda una media hora (la velocidad de trasferencia es infima, y son 20MB...)
9. una vez que acaba de subir el fichero, veremos mensajes de la tele indicando que esta instalando el firm. Cuando veamos que ya no hace nada mas, es decir q no escribe mas mensajes por la consola, apagamos la TV
10. Desconectamos el null modem
11. Cruzamos los dedos y encendemos la tele. Si todo ha ido bien, volvera a la vida

To recover an apparently dead lg set you'll need

* a terminal emulation program with file transfer capability (zmodem protocol)
* a good firmware file (*.epk)

Warning, incorrect operations could irreparably damage your set

This is the sequence of actions:

1. turn off the tv (by removing the power cable or using the on/off switch, all leds must be off)
2. connect the service port on the tv to the computer serial port with a null modem cable
3. start the terminal emulation program an set the speed at 115200, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, no hardware or software handshake
4. turn on the tv and at the same time press Esc on the keyboard. It may be necessary to press Esc more than once
5. if everything goes well, you'll be greeted by a "Mstar #" prompt (here you can write help to obtain a list of available commands in the u-boot bootloader)
6. issue the swuz command (software upload zmodem). the tv will await the file
7. in the terminal emulation program select the correct firmware file (.epk) to send to the tv
8. don't touch anything and hope there's no power cut (it's a long process!)
9. once the file has been successfully transferred, turn off the tv
10. disconnect the serial cable
11. turn on the tv and hopefully it will work
