I see the spec sheet for the A1E on one retailer's website makes reference to the set having a feature called 'frame blinking'.

Does anyone known what that refers to? My first thoughts are for things like black frame insertion or some sort of 'backlight scanning'?

Edit: I've done some reading, and it seems that Frame Blinking is a form of BFI/backlight scanning employed on other Sony TVs.

On LCDs, the two Sony approaches to BFI appear to be either Frame Blinking, where entire black frames are inserted, or Line Blinking, which appears to be more like the rolling scan approach Sony employs on its ultra-pricey OLED studio monitor.

So if the spec sheet I've seen is correct about all the features, And the A1E has Frame Blinking, that's potentially very interesting.
