The X900F is not better than last years X900E overall. I've included pictures showing you the good and the bad. The x900e is to the left in the comparison picture(the one with two tvs)the X900f is to the right. The X900f has bad black uniformity in the menu. I've broken this review up into good and bad sections.
The Good? Extremely vibrant colors, striking contrast in normal content, stunning peak brightness, little to no color banding,Nice tv speaker sound,Good black bar control, great SDR content, excellent sharpness, great noise reduction, nice aluminum frame, tons of picture options, google assistant, and easy setup.
The bad? Horrible blooming and flashlighting despite being a full array, juddery motion processing dispite Xmotion clarity, cheap remote rehashed from 2015,undersaturated HDR dispite being well over 1K nits, horrible input lag across the board due to the X1E chip, only hdmi 2&3 are full 4K HDR bandwith, weak wifi chip,No Dolby Vision at launch despite it being a selling point of the F,sluggish ui that crashes, apps still crash from time to time, and those clown shoe stand feet.
In Short, it's not a good tv or a bad one. It's just ok. I find this to be way too much of a mix bag. I both loved and hated the experience. I don't reccomend this at it's current price. Wait until its like $800-$900..because this was disappointing having paid $1.6K after taxes for the 55in. I have posted tons of videos on youtube. Just look up Quantum Apotheosis on youtube for more info. As for this tv I say pass it up, unless you can get a good deal on it.
