Miyamoto prepara una nueva franquicia para Nintendo


En una entrevista concedida recientemente a Dean Takahashi, de Mercury News, Shigeru Miyamoto ha desvelado que Nintendo se encuentra trabajando en una nueva franquicia. Desde el lanzamiento de Pikmin en 2001, no hemos visto innovaciones en lo que a nuevos personajes se refiere por parte de la gran N, algo que podría cambiar a lo largo del proximo año.
En palabras textuales de Miyamoto: Quizá a lo largo del próximo año, en algún momento, introduciremos nuevos personajes del mismo modo en que introdujimos Pikmin con el lanzamiento de GameCube.
No son unas declaraciones especialmente reveladoras, pero cualquier cosa que salga de la mente de Miyamoto seguro que contará con la calidad necesaria para contar con nuestro interés. Habrá que permanecer atentos a los movimientos del padre de Mario a lo largo de 2008.

Nintendo se vuelve a borrar del TGS

menos de dos meses de su celebración, la Tokio Game Show empieza a mostrar sus cartas para esta edición 2007 que aspira a convertirse en la más grande jamás montada. Y una vez más como en los últimos años, Nintendo no aparece entre las compañías con participación confirmada.

Los dos primeros días serán exclusivos para la prensa y la industria, mientras que los dos finales estarán abiertos a curiosos y visitantes. Todas las grandes compañías orientales han confirmado su presencia, y se han sumado algunas occidentales como Microsoft, que últimamente ha visto algunos repuntes en el interés por su Xbox 360 en aquel país, y otras desarrolladores menores de Holanda o Suecia centradas en el pujante mercado para móviles.

Quien no ha confirmado su asistencia ha sido Nintendo. Aunque los rumores apuntaban a su vuelta debido al liderato en el mercado y la presión de las editoras (especialmente de Square Enix), la organización no ha incluido su nombre en esta lista y se esfuman las posibilidades. Sin embargo, la ausencia de Nintendo no implica la desaparición de Wii, con la atención centrada en Square-Enix y su creciente relación con DS, SEGA y sus lanzamientos para fin de año o Marvelous y Suda 51.

A su vez, es posible que la compañía de Kyoto organice de nuevo su evento, como ya hiciese el año pasado con el Tour Nintendo World que recorrió tres grandes ciudades de Japón.
