I'm happpy it worked.
I did a lot of experiments with my Rh188HS recorder, and many trips & tricks are similar for the new series.
There is no known way to transfer fron hdd to usb.
MPEG4 recording, will give you the possibility to record directly in compressed format (after OP managing, you can choose in the setup menu if enable or disable it).
