Diferencia entre Altavoces y Monitores de Estudio

He encontrado un hilo curiosos sobre monitores pro.
Hay un apunte que me cuadra bastante con lo que percibí cuando comparé entre las BM15A y las 2031A.
Critican a las BM15 de tener un valle muy pronuciado en la zona de 3.5Khz ( a mi me sonaron poco coherentes y recesivas por arriba ........ hablando claro nada nada planas ). De hecho en medios y agudos las 2031A en mi opinión las dejaban tiritando a pesar de costar 7 veces menos

También prefiero los BM5 o BM6 (todavía mejor) a los BM15A ( que excepto en graves me parecieron bastante flojitos)

These monitors are not flat and are not designed to be flat. They enable the recording engineer to hear the track the way much of the population hears it, as if through a home stereo, rack system, portable system or automobile. In fact, except for the decade between 500 Hz and 5,000 Hz, the response is smooth. The off-axis response isn't flat either, but it's smooth and well-controlled, tapering only -2 dB from 1,000 Hz to beyond 10,000 Hz...

Darn. Well, I guess that explains why I loved the way everything sounded on the BM15As, yet the midrange never balanced or translated correctly on anything else.
