Egreat R6S Pro 1080p Wifi 3D Android Blue-ray Network HD Player

Antes de comprar el aparato estuve buscando reviews o opiniones de este equipo así como vídeos de su funcionamiento, pero no encontré una review en profundidad del reproductor. Fue gracias a este foro que tras las sugerencias decidí adquirir este equipo.

Valoré las opciones entre Dune, Mede8er y Egreat. Pensé que para gastarse la pasta en el Mede8er era mejor coger el Dune dado que el chip del Mede8er ya es antiguo y no creo que de más de si. Así que mire por mis prioridades y eran básicamente tener un aparato que fuera enchufar el USB y reproducir películas directamente en HD (tanto audio como video), sin más opciones y que ademas pudiera compartir el USB insertado a la red. Así que viendo que los equipos más modernos son bastante caros, decidií adquirir la opción mas barata ya que el Mede8er aportaba más pero es un equipo algo ya obsoleto.

El principal problema del equipo es la falta de desarrollo del firmware, pero di con alguien que esta trabajando en ello. He preparado una review del egreat con el firmware alternativo Bast-Castle 1.03. bast-castle - Generic firmware for Realtek based media players (chip 1073 Mars, 1185 Jupiter and 1186 Saturn) - Google Project Hosting

Se trata de un firmware diferente que según comenta el programador está hecho con el ultimo SDK lanzado por Realtek. Es un firmware que se centra básicamente en mejorar la reproducción de vídeos/audio obviando todo lo demás. Esto implica que se elimina la opción de JukeBox, Android, el navegador. Es un firmware muy ligero, pesa solo 100Mb y el arranque es muy rápido, en apenas 20 segundos estamos en el menú principal. Las principales mejoras respecto al firmware original son: la corrección de la reproducción a 24Hz, una mejor función de las películas 3D, opción de HDMI-CEC, comparticion del USB por Samba.

He hablado con el desarrollado y esta preparando una actualización del firmware con mejoras en la reproducción de video, la opción de auto frame de tal forma que los vídeos ajusten los Hz de la tele automáticamente,…

Se instala como los demás firmware:

1. Copiar el firmware en un pendrive en formato FAT32 (En la raiz), sin ningun archivo más.
2. Insertarlo en el equipo apagado
3. Presionar el boton reset del equipo y encenderlo
4. Automaticamente pasara a actualizarse
5. Tardará unos 5 min hasta que llegue al menu

Actualización:

Pros

• Aumento en la velocidad de respuesta en general.
• Aumento del tiempo de arranque.
• Correción de los Hz en las pelis de 23.978 fps.
• Compartición por samba muy rápida.
• Actualización general del sistema (kernel y reproductor de medios)
• Posibilidad de mejoras por parte del desarrollador.
• Equipo básico para reproducir videos y audio HD estandards.

Contras

• Si reproducís el audio por HDMI a la tele, no se si sonara en un equipo, se escucha un ligero petardeo constante hasta que no reproduzcas un video.
• Las letras de los menus BD se ven distorsionadas
• Perdida del navegador y de los programas android
