Nuevo Himedia Q10 PRO (Europa) para abril ....

Me han mandado la pre-order, pero yo estoy interesado Q5 Pro, aunque primero quiero verificar que tal funciona con un NAS.

El Q5 normal lee bien desde NAS, tanto un IomegaEZ como un Synology, comprobado; el Q5 Pro en ese aspecto no creo que sea diferente.

El Q5Pro se retrasa, parece ser que han tenido que rediseñar por completo el modelo y van a tardar algo más, hasta finales de mayo nada.
Por cierto se debería de incluir en el título del post "Q5Pro"

Voy a ver si jubilo mi HDX-1000, ya he reservado mi HiMedia Q10 Pro. Ya os contaré mis experiencias cuando lo reciba, por ahí en el mes de Mayo.

Some early impressions... I'm already mostly impressed! Compared to pre-production sample I've had since February, the production (mass release) box just coming out now...
Does everything well that the pre-production sample does; a relief!
Does NOT have HiMediaWrapper pre-installed! (The APK HiMedia provided me for the pre-production sample thankfully works w/production box, but they should really pre-install this and provide it for download)
Does perfect DD+ 5.1 and 7.1 bitstreaming (which the pre-production sample only passed standard DD5.1 for)
Still can't flip eyes for right-eye first 3D BD's (just as w/pre-production sample; HiMedia, please fix this!)
Kodi 17 nightlies install fine, but the 'back' function does NOT work. So, had to use Kodi 16 RC2 instead for now


Now that everyone's talking about how the Q10 Pro's image quality surpasses even highest expectations I was wondering how the image quality is compared to non Android media devices.

Only Hisilicon SoC have dedicated "video engine" for enhancement "video quality".

All other soc amlogic , rockchip ecc have video for decoding .
Only Amlogic have AVE( amlogic video engine ) for better interacted content = broadcasting TV.

so... with Express Engine always have better video quality?
no , some times much better ...some times better ... some times equal , depend from source ... from film's photography ....encoding quality ...ecc


So, compared to Sigma's VXP where does Hisilicon's ExpressXEngine range? If anyone had both and could help me out with some flowery comparisons.

Popcorn Hour have limted sigma SDK , they pay licence only for some function 4/10 .
Popcorn Hour lot of time said the problem is "sigma SDK", so some bugs never resolved.
Popcorn Hour have very bad forum/Administrator.

Himedia and hisilicon is both huawei company no problem with SDK.
Himedia , not always ,but lot of times imlementing "user" request.

Himedia Q10/Q5/Q3 have LIVE menu to change enhancement "video quality"

i have both A400 and Q5 ... not story Q5 is much better.

Buenas compis, me tengo que comprar un Multimedia, y no estoy muy puesto en el tema.

Ando mirando vuestros comentarios, Este Q10 ó Popcorn ó el de Nvidia. Lo quiero principalmente para enchufarle discos externos 3.0 y un NAS.

Me echaís una mano????. Cual me pillo?. Espero a este nuevo Q10, tampoco tengo mucha prisa. Es para jubilar un Woxter.

Si vas a enfuchar NAS y discos externos te viene mejor el Q5Pro, aunque tardará en salir algunos meses, en calidad precio promete mucho.
