Samsung podría haber confirmado ya de manera oficial el lanzamiento del Galaxy Tab 2, que sería presentado de manera definitiva en el MWC 2011 que se celebra en Barcelona en apenas unas semanas. Las especificaciones técnicas cuadran casi a la perfección con todos los rumores que hemos venido escuchando en los últimos tiempos, siendo Tegra 2 la plataforma elegida para su segunda generación de tabletas. Otras características serían, además del doble núcleo y los gráficos avanzados del chipset de NVIDIA: pantalla con tecnología Super AMOLED Plus, Google Honeycomb como sistema operativo y dos modelos diferentes a elegir, 7 pulgadas como hasta ahora o 10 pulgadas como podemos ver en la imagen superior. Se espera que se pongan a la venta en el segundo trimestre del año de manera global por un precio muy similar al que ahora tenemos el Galaxy Tab en el mercado.

Samsung has announced the release of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 at MWC(Mobile World Congress),during 14-17 February, in Barcelona, Spain.
The confirmed specs of the Galaxy Tab 2 include :

Dual-Core Nvidia Tegra 2 CPU
Super AMOLED Plus Display (7" and 10" models)
Android 3.0(Honeycomb)
The Galaxy Tab 2 will compete with the likes of the Motorola Xoom, and several other tablets from Lenovo, Acer, Asus and Dell.

Samsung hit the 1 Million Sales mark recently on the first edition of its 7" Galaxy tablet. However, an upgrade to the new tablet-centric Android 3.0 is probably not coming to the first edition, because rumors say that a Dual-Core processor is required. If the above rumors are true, the first edition will be obsolete soon, about two months into its release!!
With the Tablet Battle heating up, and the IPad 2 release looming, Samsung has to offer something more to maintain its foothold in the market.
