Llevo registrado mucho tiempo, pero he participado muy poco (edito, nada, este es mi primer mensaje, creía que no), aunque os leo mucho.
Voy a hacer de abogado del diablo, y voy proponer una teoría, que no tiene que ser cierta, es más, probablemente no lo sea, pero que podría ser usada a favor de este tipo de CDs.

Un motor de coche necesita rodaje, para que se ajusten las piezas y se acoplen, eso lo sabemos todos. ¿Es posible que estos CD's lo único que hagan (en el mejor de los casos) es reproducir sonidos en todas las frecuencias posibles, de esta manera, los altavoces reproducirán frecuencias que a veces no lo hacen y así éstos vayan un poco "más sueltos"?

Pues parece que por ahí va la cosa. He encontrado otra empresa que también produce CDs de estos mágicos y parece que, según su explicación, el tema se encamina por la vía que comentas, aunque no se limita únicamente a "mejorar" o "rodar" los altavoces, sino el equipo completo.
