From looking to scheduling an upgrade, they have asked whether I have tried a HDMI 2.0a device, to asking me again what the have so they can advise whether it's HDMI 2.0a compatible. Endless circles, and every response is treated as a completely new ticket.

Keep on trying and tell them to organise themselves and treat your query in one ticket. They are trying to bore you. And ask them to visit you and try a HDMI2.0a device of their own, because you currently has not such a device .
