Hola,

FIA CHARGES MICHELIN TEAMS
Last Updated: Tuesday, 21, June, 2005, 17:13
The FIA has released details of the charges that the seven Michelin teams will face at next Wednesday's World Motor Sport Council hearing.
McLaren, Williams, BAR, Renault, Toyota, Sauber and Red Bull Racing are all accused of contravening article 151c of the International Sporting Code – the clause that refers to “acts prejudicial to the interests of competition or motorsport generally.”
The FIA informed each team individually that they had committed the following transgressions:
* “Failed to ensure that you had a supply of suitable tyres for the race."
* "Wrongfully refused to allow your cars to start the race."
* "Wrongfully refused to allow your cars to race subject to a speed restriction at one corner, which was safe for such tyres as you had available."
* "Combined with other teams to make a demonstration damaging to the image of Formula 1 by pulling into the pits immediately before the start of the race."
* "Failed to notify the stewards of your intention not to race.”
The seven teams must defend themselves against these charges at next week’s meeting.
At present, all of the FIA’s condemnation has been focused directly on the seven teams rather than Michelin itself.
The FIA’s stance is that the teams should have agreed to run at a reduced speed through Turn 13 rather than boycotting the race.
The teams did not believe that a voluntary speed reduction was practical or safe, and instead advocated a temporary chicane.
The FIA declared that such an alteration to the circuit would be illegal, impractical and dangerous.
With neither side willing or able to compromise, the 14 Michelin runners dramatically pulled into their garages at the end of the formation lap, leaving just six cars to contest a 'race' that immediately descended into an embarrassing charade.
