This is what Chris (support Hisense Uk) wrote about the firmware update to me today:

Below is our Plan for 2015 4K Models – K321, K720, K700, XT910

1. Models K321 and K720 will receive Over-The-Air update to a new VL1 software and these models will NOT support HDR

The content of this update is:

• Major bug fixes based on VL1 (incl. the after sales issues already worked on, e.g. Updated EDID, YouTube VP9, Mediaplayer issues, Stuttering, MHEG volume control, etc…)

• Amazon Instant video (for UK and Germany)

• Support of chansort (PC tool) for channel management

The update is expected to start with the first model (K321) earliest by end of June 2016. We are currently testing..

2. Models K700 and XT910 will receive a USB update (Available by request and Hisense Website) to a new VL2 software and these models will support HDR.

The content of this update is:

• Baseline to the same VL2 version as our current 2016 5657 Platform UHD models (incl. the after sales issues already worked on, e.g. Updated EDID, YouTube VP9, Stutter, Mediaplayer issues, MHEG volume control, etc…)

• Amazon Instant video (for UK and Germany)

• Support of chansort (PC tool) for channel management

• HDR (picture quality update, HDMI2.0a support, USB and DVB support)

The update is expected to start with the first model earliest by end of July 2016.

Según la noticia, la 700 la actualizarán con HDR, pero la 720 no.
