IMPORTANT REFERENCE SERIES SPEAKER CABLE
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
The directionality of your speaker cables is a very important design feature. The cables must be hooked up so that the audio signal flows from the amplifier to the speakers.
Each end of your speaker cables has a small module (a coupler) that helps create a transition between the cable and the plus and minus termination ends. One coupler on each cable has a small arrow (>) that points toward one end of the cable. The termination ends of the coupler with the arrow must always be connected to the speaker.
The left and right orientation of your cables is important to achieve the best looking installation.
The Transparent technician who custom-made your cables positioned the
product name plates on top of the large network modules so that each cable’s nameplate will read right side up when looking at the cables from the listening position.
The most common amplifier placement is between the speakers. With a center placement amplifier, the speaker cable nameplate on the left cable should read left to right toward the amplifier, and the speaker cable nameplate on the right cable should read left to right toward the right speaker.
