The dCS Ring DAC uses initial oversampling at 64X and other digital processing to convert the incoming 16-bit/44.1-kHz CD signal to 24 bits. According to an Arcam white paper, "The most innovative part of the design is the dCS proprietary algorithm, which continuously varies the number and positions of the selected current sources from sample to sample, as though around a circle - hence the name "Ring DAC".

¿A qué parece que lo que aquí llaman oversampling es lo se ha estado llamando upsampling en este y otros hilos?
Si te fijas dice que inicialmente utiliza un oversampling x64 y luego "otro proceso digital" para convertir la señal a 24 bits.
Este podría ser upsampling pero solo habla del cambio de resolución a 24, no dice nada de variar la frecuencia de 44,1Khz., así que no sería correcto utilizar el término upsampling.
Lo podríamos dejar en una "conversión" digital de señal.
