ayer lunes me enviaron el email desde alapage de que me lo envian en 48 horas, por lo que mañana lo tengo que recibir, estoy ansioso de probarlo, xavi tenias que haber hecho lo que yo hize y ya lo tendrias en casa (PDs vamos a elimnar de la copa )

por cierto ya esta en alapage en 24 horas...

Enhorabuena, ya contaras

Desde luego si que han tardado........1 mes y medio aprox.

A ver si ya sale en España >

Yo el Domingo estuve viendo El Pianista, y es flipante..... y eso que esta pelicula tiene un grano digital hecho aposta para que parezca más "antigua", y le resta un pelín de definición, pero aún así, una pasada

Ahora veo los dvd´s y me parecen Divx... :-[ :-[ se ven como borrosos.....


Ya no me compro ni una pelicula en dvd...... solo alguna serie y ya está.... todas mis próximas compras de peliculas serán en HD

Lo tengo desde ayer, lo que me ha ocurrido es que solo me ha llegado el reproductor y nada de pelicula de king kong ni nada por el estilo, > > >, la verdad es que la peli me parece una mierda y jamas me la hubiera comprado, pero no tengo con que probarla :-[, asi que dentro de 1 hora me piro a comprarme u par de pelis....me apetece batman beggings, la isla o el ultimo samurai....


El otro dia reserve en fnac el reproductor y pregunte que si salia con alguna pelicula, el dependiente miro en la ficha del producto y en principio no sale ninguna pelicula, .............................................

Bueno, explica, explica, como va el tema, impresiones, etc....

Me he comprado el ultimo samurai y la he comparado con la version dvd y los resultados han sido muy buenos, la imagen es mas limpia y se aprecian detalles que en la version dvd solo eran cosas difuminadas, me ha dado sensacion de que el color es mas vivo(pero tl vez sea mi imaginacion).

Tambien me he comprado king kong solo por estar calificada como la mejor de momento en HD DVD y la verdad que olvidando la pelicula la imagen es fenomenal, he notado mas calidad incluso que en el ultimo samurai, cierto es que no lea he podido comparar con una edicion dvd, pero me queda una duda y es...¿como se veranlas de el señor de los anillos en HD DVD?

Respecto al sonido...¿que es eso de dolby digital plus?, ¿lo puedo escuchar con mi receptor av?, ¿se nota mas mejoria?

The Video: Sizing Up the Picture


'Troy' is perhaps the most highly-anticipated title in Warner's latest batch of HD DVD releases (which includes 'House of Wax' and 'Space Cowboys,' amongst others). Unfortunately, given such high expectations, I suspect some may be disappointed with the image quality here. Not that it is terrible -- far from it -- but this is still not the kind of reference-quality disc most are going to whip out when they want to impress their friends with great HD DVD demo material.

Warner presents 'Troy' in 2.40:1 widescreen and 1080p/VC-1 video. The problems with the image are the same as those that plagued the previous standard-def DVD release. The source material is certainly pristine, with no visible artifacts such as dirt or speckles, and unintended film grain is not a problem. However, I was surprised that the film's many vast, outdoor panoramas look worse than darker, interior scenes. Just about any sequence shot in bright daylight suffers from blown-out contrast, almost as if the film is slightly overexposed. Perhaps this is intentional, but the blooming whites still irritate, and detail is just not as good as it could have been. Sure, the transfer still has a nice sense of depth to t and a few moments really impress with an excellent three-dimensionality, but overall it is still tweaky and artificial. There is also a very slight bit of harshness to the exterior scenes, with some ringing around sharply contrasted objects visible. However, I would hesitate to outright call this edge enhancement because the image has been so intentionally processed, but it definitely doesn't look film-like.

Comparably, interior scenes are more natural and pleasing. Blacks are excellent and shadow delineation above average. Fine details are also evident even in the dimmest interiors, and the sense of depth often exceeds that of the brighter daylight exteriors. Color reproduction also excels, with rich and stable hues, especially the fine fleshtones which are a lovely shade of orange throughout.

Finally, one more complaint. Is it just me, or is anyone else sick of all this CGI motion blur? Aside from the fact that I didn't find all those computer-animated warriors particularly photo-realistic, many of 'Troy's biggest action scenes are the softest parts of the transfer. Where real actors photographed against real backgrounds look nice and sharp, any long shot with lots of CGI tends to be more mushy, and I could rarely make out any fine detail amid all the pixel mess. Oh, well, I guess I'm just an old-school kinda guy?


The Audio: Rating the Sound


If 'Troy's video transfer disappoints somewhat, its soundtrack delivers in spades. The latest Warner HD DVD title to include a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 surround track (whoopee!), this one kicks some serious ass. A clear improvement over the already-fine Dolby Digital 5.1 track on the DVD, 'Troy' makes a sterling advertisement for the inclusion of lossless audio formats on next-gen discs.

'Troy's sound design is, of course, maximized to clobber you over the head. If any scene features a clanking sword or Brad Pitt screaming, "For the glory of Troy!", you're going to hear it in your surrounds. Even more than previous TrueHD releases like 'Training Day' and 'The Perfect Storm,' 'Troy' delivers an intense "wall of sound" behind the listener that fully engages the soundfield to a degree previously unheard in a home theater environment. Fine sonic shadings are now discernible that you just don't hear on Dolby Digital. The second act battle for example -- on the Dolby Digital, background battle noises, such as body hits and cheering masses, comes across like a flat, continuous single point source of sound. But on the TrueHD, the effects feel far more localized to specific speakers. Dynamic range, too, is considerably expanded. Mid- and high-range is excellent, and .1 LFE incredibly forceful. The film's score by James Horner is quite percussive, and in TrueHD the drums packed a huge wallop, deliver the kind of floor-shaking low bass (at high volume) I'm just not used to hearing outside of the theater.

My only complaint with the film's design is that it is typically front-loaded during non-battle scenes. I hoped for more consistent atmosphere, especially with the score. Alas, we get a bit of bleed to the rears for ambient noises, but even the TrueHD is of little added help in boosting envelopment. But let's face it, 'Troy' is all about Brad Pitt kicking people's asses, so on that level, it succeeds like gangbusters.

The Video: Sizing Up the Picture


'V for Vendetta' hits HD DVD at last in a 2.40:1 widescreen and 1080p/VC-1 video transfer. It was worth the wait. This is a very fine-looking presentation that faithfully reproduces the film's somewhat schizophrenic visual style, and even possess a few moments of pure high-def bliss.

Visually, 'V for Vendetta' is a tough film to assess. As is so common today, various digital tricks have been employed to tweak certain segments of the film to better tell the story. Most of the "Government" scenes, such as the Finch's interiors and anything involving Stephen Rea, tend to be desaturated and slightly overcontrasted. As such, colors are muted and whites can bloom. Detail is still generally good during these scenes, though the image can appear a bit soft. Again, this all appears intentional.

By contrast, the world of "V" and any shot meant to highlight Natalie Portman's beauty (which wouldn't be hard) can be scrumptious. Colors are more robust but still clean, and Portman's camera-ready features are always a lovely shade of orange. I also got off on the way the rich crimson of the Government's Nazi-esque iconography clashes in a positive way with the rest of the image, yet noise and compression artifacts are never a problem. Detail and depth to the image are also significantly improved here, and some locations, such as V's lair, look as three-dimensional as the Batcave in what is still probably Warner's reference HD DVD disc, 'Batman Begins.' Given the film's intended visual excesses, 'V for Vendetta' is a four-star transfer.


The Audio: Rating the Sound


'V for Vendetta' gets a full-blown Dolby TrueHD 5.1 surround track, and even if it totally sucked I'd be giving kudos to Warner for supporting lossless audio formats. Luckily it doesn't suck. Although, in all honesty, this one doesn't offer as noticeable an upgrade over the Dolby Digital track on the standard DVD as some other recent Dolby TrueHD tracks I've heard. Still, I ain't complaining.

First off, the biggest problem with the previous DVD release has been fixed here. Gone are most of the poorly balanced volume levels, with dialogue now more prominent in the mix, and no longer overwhelmed by the effects. Which is doubly important in 'V for Vendetta,' as the film is so full of long, pontificating speeches and intricate monologues. Also boosted is dynamic range. Fine sonic details are more audible in the mix in Dolby TrueHD, such as the flap of V's cape or foley effects as innocuous as footsteps. In fact, sometimes the clarity and attention to detail is truly amazing. Low end, too, is boosted and delivers some serious rumbling during the film's otherwise lackluster action scenes. Surround use is about as aggressive, however, and I wasn't quite as blown away by the intensity of the rear channels as I hoped. Certainly, there are some nice uses of discrete sounds and near-transparent imaging to create a very involving soundfield, but this is no 'Batman Begins' or even 'The Phantom of the Opera.' Regardless, a Dolby TrueHD track is cause for celebration as they are still relatively rare on HD DVD, so don't worry Warner -- I'll still marry you.

¿Podeis decirme que dicen?, estas dos peliculas junto a batman beggings(la mejor) y la isla seran mis proximas adquisiciones

Hattori, el DD Plus es el mismo DD de toda la vida, peo a un mayor Bitrate. Podrás escucharlo como hasta hoy con el DD de siempre.

Vale, sobre troya, y te resumo muy fácil y rápido:

Troya: La imagen es buena, pero nada espectacular, sólo un poco mejor que un Stantard DVD. Los interiores se ven mejor que los exteriores. Aunque no tiene grano ni artefactos, pero no tiene un "video transfer" como esperaban. Se presenta en 2.40:1 y 1080p con compresión VC-1
Y el sonido de troya, a rasgos generales, excelente. Hacen incapié en el LFE .1 , donde dicen que de verdad te pateará el culo, jejeje. 5.1 TrueDolby Digital

De todas maneras, aquí NO LLEGAN con el TrueDolby Digital (ahí ahí, currándoselo) y solo nos llegan en Dolby Digital Plus ( y te ves los Blu-Ray con PCM 5.1, casi nada...)

Habrá que enterarse bien si viene el pack en España con una peli, porque como no venga me voy a mosquear > > ........... Encima de que llega más tarde, más caro.......pues no.

yo creo que Hattori que como es la 2º remesa, pues debe venir sin peli , pero en España cuando salga será la 1º remesa, por tanto debería incluir la película.....un motivo más para ser de los primeros

Que las primeras tiradas en cada País, fueran con la pelicula y luego ya..... sin ella y sin mando...

Pero en estas cosas..... te puedes esperar cualquier cosa, pero no creo que sean tan Ca*** nes...
