Greetings from Spain. I followed all your previous instructions and got it well done. I need your help to further make my

RHD298H LG DVD Recorder fully operational. I do not regard my Recorder as a true multimedia if it has so many operational

restrictions. Here are my questions:

1. I had in the past used my RHD298H to play or copy music, photo, and movies from the USB Pendrive onto the hard drive. But

now I can no longer see the USB option under [MUSIC], [MOVIE] and [PHOTO] in the HOME menu. What can I do so that the USB

option appears?

2. According to the user's manual, my RHD298H Recorder can copy files from hard drive and disc to the USB. What can I do to

activate this possibility? According to you: "If you want direct HDD+DVD recording set OP4: 60. (OP4: 70 will record only on

HDD. Ref date: 23-Nov-2008, 16:08 )." What value of "OP4" do I need so as to record to USB drive?


3. From my service menu I have the following system configuration: Note that I can not change the positions of "M: 30.D26"

and "E: 33(CO)" against lines "OP2" and "OP3" respectively. If you think that it is necessary, then tell me how to do it.

4. We have read that a new firmware (110708a is available). How can I get it? Why is it that I have never succeeded in

upgrading my software through the digital antenna? Some people have done it successfully, but mine will search and will

always find nothing. What are the advantages of the Loader SD631 over the one in my system (S514)? How can I get it?


5. I am not cleared about the use of [PAUSE + 2, 4, 8, 6, 5] to unactivate HDCP (on/off protection for RH7xxxH and RH1xxxH

series). What are the advantages and how can I do the same to my RHD298H Recorder?

Tengo algunos problemas con un 297h quizá me podáis ayudar.

Sobre visualización:
Lo he probado en 3 teles. En una LCD por euroconector va bien. En una CRT por euroconector pierde el color (comienza a verse en blanco y negro). En otra CRT configurado como letterbox o pan&scan pasa intermitentemente de 4:3 a 16:9. He visto un post alguien al que le pasaba lo mismo pero no he visto ninguna respuesta.

Sobre lectura del DVD
Cuando meto un DVD con varios .AVI se queda frito leyendo los archivos porque intenta leer el contenido de cada avi. ¿Es posible desactivar esa opción para que saque solo los nombres de archivo? (que sería mucho más rápido).
