Plasma LG PM9700 (2012)

Hola compañeros

Sigo buscando las cosquillas a la tv (en general para BR es fantastica con una relación calidad/pvp de un diez pero 60" a 3,2mts con la tdt es horrible, por lo menos necesitaría 5mts).

Habéis probado a grabar con la entrada hdd in? Que pendrive y que HD?

Yo he probado con un pequeño HDD Toshiba de 1,8" y 40GB que saqué de un netbook. He grabado un par de carreras de F1 y sin problema, tanto la grabación como la posterior reproducción. La tv lo reconocé sin mayor problema.

He probado con el navegador web de la tele a abrir varias páginas web que tienen vídeos y la reproducción va bien, pero cunado le doy a maximizar para verlo a pantalla completa, no hace nada, se sigue viendo en pequeño... ¿Os pasa a vosotros también?

Me parece una gran cagada, ya que hay muchas pelis y series online que se podrían ver.

El otro día vi el PM9700 de 50" en el corte inglés, y la verdad es que me pareció que se veia muy bien.

Pensaba que los LED eran lo nuevo, en detrimento de los "viejos plasmas", hasta que lei que para nada. Así que fui a verlo. Tenían unas imágenes de muestra bastante simplonas y al lado de un LED con imágenes chulas, por lo que no destacaba en principio. Le pusieron las mismas imágenes y la cosa mejoró. La verdad es que me gustó.

A FAVOR: sobretodo lo que le veo a favor en comparación con toda la demás oferta de plasmas/lcds/leds es algo de lo que no se habla mucho pero que es bastante importante, sobretodo para mí: LOS REFLEJOS. ¿Cómo pueden hacer los fabricantes estas pantallas que son espejos? vamos no me j*das, que queremos tener teles, no espejos! En mi caso, voy a tener un ventanal justo enfrente, por lo que es bastante importante. En este aspecto, la PM9700 se porta, ya que el panel es mate y mejora con creces los espejos de los demás.

EN CONTRA: aparte de lo ya obvio, cosas que creia que estaban ya superadas y que me doy cuenta que para nada (quemados, marcas en la pantalla por imágenes fijas...) y que me echan mucho para atrás, lo que peor veo y lo que hace que ya no sea mi tele perfecta es que no lleve el DBV-T2, lo que hace que puede q en poco tiempo tenga q tener un deco aparte con una tele nueva (nuevo aparato, nuevo mando a distancia, imposibilidad de grabar la tv en pen directamente con la tele, posibles apps que hagan cosas con el sintonizador...). ¿Cómo pueden hacer eso? ¿sabéis si llegará la DVB-t2 a España finalmente? ¿cuándo se sabrá? Manda narices ahora que había encontrado mi modelo...

Pregunté a LG y efectivamente, no lleva. una verguenza.

No sé si puestas justo al lado, una panasonic, sharp o samsung (plasmas o led) pueden verse mejor, pero os digo que por sí sola se ve genial y sin los molestos reflejos que la gente tanto obvia en estos aparatos y que nunca de comentan.

De lo del DTV-t2, pues es lo que hay. No te puedo decir otra cosa. Pero de lo demás, creo que si: efectivamente, tener un plasma que refeje tan poco como el PM9700, pues es una pasada, un gran logro por parte de LG.

Si en vez de ser LG la que ha conseguido esto, hubiese sido otra marca.........¿cuantas páginas llenas de elogios se hubiesen leido?................MUCHIIIIIIIIIIIISIMAS.

Las retenciones siguen existiendo en los plasmas (también los quemados, aunque es muy dificil que se produzcan), pero con un cuidado mínimo, sobre todo al principio, la verdad es que no suponen ningún problema. Por ese motivo no tengas pegas.

Si te gustó la calidad de imagen en un centro comerciál, te aseguro que en casa con la iluminación adecuada vas a alucinar.

La verdad es que me mola mucho la TV, pero me sigue sin convencer lo del DVB-T2. ¿Sabe alguien si se puede comprar en alguna web o sitio que venga con dicho sintonizador? ¿puede haber alguna pega por comprarla pensada para otro pais?

Por otro lado he visto que LG está montando Android en algún modelo americano. La unión de la PM9700 con android sería perfecta!!

Vaya, en Amazon dicen que esta TV sufre algo de "motion judder":

Now the bad part. Watching high def programing through my cable box was awful. There was so much motion judder, as if the camera would shake during motion. I played with all my settings and nothing corrected this. Next to my panny,this wasn't even close in picture quality. I really wanted to like this tv, but after finding a review from cnet asia, I knew this was not a defect. The reviewer clearly stated that motion judder on the lg was far more noticeable than other 2012 plasmas

Basic set-up was very easy. Upon the first power-up, the TV will prompt you through programming channels and connecting to your Wifi. The picture out of the box was a little to "greenish" and dark for my tastes. I went through the Picture Wizzard 2 process which took about 5 minutes and was well satisfied with the results. Much easier than the calibration disks that I've used in the past. The "magic" remote is quite efficient and works very similar to a WII controller. I wish the remote had an input select button, I find it a little monotonous going through the menus everytime I want to switch to a different source.

I spent the first couple of days watching HD programming on Netflix and various blu-ray movies. My intial impressions were that this TV had an awesome picture, one of the best I've ever seen. The problem began when I switched to my non-HD satellite receiver. The picture becomes choppy any time there is motion. I've tried every Trumotion setting from off to 10 with minimal relief. I've never had a problem from this source on the 7 year-old 42" Panasonic Plasma that I'm replacing or the 32" Panasonic LCD in the bedroom.

LG 60PM9700 is Great!!
I've had the TV for over two weeks now and it is great. I purchased this TV to replace my 50" Panasonic Ambient Light Plasma TV which still works well after 7 years, but I just wanted something newer and bigger.

Delivery was uneventful as the TV was delivered a few days after I placed the order. I had the delivery guys just drop the set off, but they would have moved my old plasma TV, unboxed and setup my new LG TV all for no extra charge. As far as the TV I can't say enough how clear the picture is. Like the experts say the blacks are the darkest, deepest blacks I've ever seen on a HD TV and I have the stupid Samsung HD DVR from Time Warner which only does 1080i. Blu-Ray disc (True 1080P) looks outstanding and Xbox (up convert 1080P) really opens up with this TV. I really don't care for 3D so I cannot comment on that. The TV has so many control options for each individual input it's fun just sitting there making little tweaks trying to squeeze a little more out of the set. Setup is very straight forward and connecting to my home IP network was a snap. The browser is a snap to operate.

Overall I highly recommend this TV if you are serious about your HD. Good job LG and Amazon!!!!

I received my unit yesterday as this one had no physical damages!

1) A very non reflective screen.

2) Blacks appear as dark as the Samsung PN59D8000 I returned due to excessive screen buzzing. The LG is as quiet as a mouse in comparison.

3) Whites are extremely bright for a Plasma.

4) This TV is in dire need of calibration. The Samsung looked great out of the box. Anyone know of any calibration settings please let me know - the advance ones.

I'm pretty optimistic once the colors/settings are dialed in this will have a great picture.

I'll also add that the matte screen is simply amazing. I have a light positioned directly above the TV in the ceiling, and the light cannot be seen on the screen when on. In fact, I think it is less reflective than my old XBR4

2012 LG PM9700 Series Discussion Thread

I got the 60pm9700 at Frys Saturday after my LG 60pv490 got taken out with a lightning strike. The 60pv490 indeed had blacks that werent very black but I was ok with that for the price I paid. (open box) Many LG plasma reviews lamented their not so good black level performance. Knowing this I went in to Frys thinking I was going to buy the Samsung 60" 7000 series hoping I didnt get one with the often mentioned buzz problem with that series.
I saw the LG 9700 sitting there next to a Samsung 64" 7000 series and indeed the Samsung looked better. The Samsung had a shiny screen of course and the difference of the LG matte finish was very noticeable in the reduction of glare but as mentioned earlier, the picture seemed more bland. I played with the LG settings some and started getting the 9700 to look pretty good. After 2 hours of back and forth I decided to get the 9700. The blacks looked every bit as good as the Samsung and I thought the LG 60pm9700 could be tweaked to a respectable picture.

I get home and put in Bugs Life full BD rip from my htpc. It looked pretty good but the stuttering/motion was terrible. I played with a few settings to no avail which was disheartening because the actual picture quality was getting better with each tweak....mainly turning of "dynamic xxxx" and things of that sort. Ah HA....i can't get "film mode" to come on and realize my htpc is not putting out a 1080/24p signal. I get that sorted...get "film mode" turned on and then OMG......this thing looks fantastic!!!!! No buzzing.....the picture is bright, sharp, rich colors and NO reflections which was a huge gripe from the wife on the first LG. I go through the usuals..Kung Fu Panda, How to Train your Dragon..... with awesome results and decide to put in Friday. This movie has nothing going for it av wise. Well it looked pretty darn good and the wife and I both noticed how much better the pic was vs the 60pv490 it was replacing. Next I watch some Nascar from my 720p outputting tivo with no upscaling from my onkyo. The front bumper cam shots were amazingly smooth and the detail in the asphalt was unexpectedly great.

My conclusion is this. Yes I did see the Pannys and yes they had awesome blacks but the pictures just didnt seem to be as sharp to me. I would rate the lg 60pm9700 as sharper...less reflections by a mile with 85-90% of the blacks of the Pannys. I do not notice the letterbox bars when watching the 9700 at all. The sound from the tv speakers is not great but I would say that no matter what being used to a 9.2 setup from the onkyo. The picture on the other hand is phenomenal and I am definitely impressed with this LG model. Th 9700 alerted me to a software update which I performed last night via the ethernet connection. No problems there though I was ready for a bricked tv from firmware updates you read about over the years. I love this tv! I came home thinking that I may be compromising a little on the picture pop and richness while enjoying the reduced glare but I was wrong. After some general tweaking this thing looks fantastic. I havent played with the included apps much but will try some media streaming for the heck of it and report back.

I know this isnt a professional review but at least it's something. I don't claim to be a videophile but I do see enough to enjoy the superior picture that plasma offers over lcd so take it for what it is worth. It is a really nice set.

Prueba a modificar lo siguiente:
- Settings > Sonido > Sinc. AV.

Yo lo tengo conectado a una barra de sonido por HDMI ARC y lo tengo activado y en "Bypass".

Por cierto, tras actualizarla a la versión 04.00.08 vía red, me aparece la opción "HbbTV" en Settings > Opción, justo debajo de "Metodo ISM". Por defecto estaba desactivado y lo he activado, no se si en España ya funcionará...

Si, la función HbbTv funciona con los canales de TVE y algunos otros, podras acceder a una programación exclusiva de los canales con este servicio.
